Hopper Coffee Mugs
Hopper Coffee Mugs are produced using high-temperature stoneware clay. Imported clays used in production are more durable and of higher quality compared to local clays, making them more suitable for high-temperature firing. This special clay is fired at 1240°C, resulting in a strong and long-lasting ceramic form.
Our mugs are entirely handmade on the pottery wheel. In the first stage, each mug is shaped individually and then left to dry. Once the drying process is complete, the first firing stage begins.
This first firing is known as the biscuit firing and is carried out at 940°C. At this stage, the form becomes stable and ready for glazing.
After reaching the biscuit stage, the mugs are glazed. Once coated with glaze, they undergo the second and final firing at 1240°C.
After this final firing, Hopper Coffee Mugs achieve their final appearance and durability. Each mug is a unique result of craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and a carefully executed production process.
